We rode the Trax from Sandy and the boys Loved it.
Carson looks really tired here, but he just sat there next to the window watching everything pass by the full time.

My second Painting

This one was for James and Becca. Also copied from one of Jon McNaughtons. I've started my third painting but it's not near as detailed as this and my first one.

Proud Mom

First of all Landon was King Bee this week at preschool, meaning, they were celebrating his un-birthday. They get to wear a crown and be the class helper. They're also supposed to take in a poster of themselves. This was my first time getting to make a poster for my kids. I think I can get used to this homework thing. And Hopefully we'll get to make a Valentine box next month:)

Landon's First Progress Report Card, and here is where the proud mom thing comes in; Landon is top of his class in recognizing and writing his numbers. In studies, most 5 year olds don't do as well as he did. He knows All of them and can write them all too. Go on take a closer look:)

Changes with the Clary's

Richard quit Vantage. He worked for Vantage four and a half years and has now reached the end of classes they'll work with. That means he's almost finished with school and only has day classes left. He put in his 2 weeks notice New Years Eve so last Wednesday was his last day.
He's now working at Telos, a residential treatment facility. It's a school (home) for teenage boys who are depressed. He works nights so he can take all the classes he needs to to hopefully graduate the end of Summer semester:) with his bachelors in Political Science.
Though it's been crazy getting used to a completely new schedule. It's such a relief for all of us, to have Richard working only one full time job and only taking 12 credits. Hopefully the stress level in our home will lower this semester.
Thank you Richard for all of your hard work. It's not easy working 2 jobs and taking 13 credits. You're Awesome.

Christmas

SANTA!

The boys were so excited to go and see Santa, but Landon warned me ahead of time. That he was only going to look at him "I just won't sit on his lap mom" . Not even a high five but Carson enjoyed it.

Here's Landon getting tickets to ride the train, "two tickets please" He was so excited!

Just waiting for the ride to start.

Once it started going, it went fast and Carson started crying so they stopped the train and I got to get on with the, that was the best part:)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two nights before Christmas Santa came to our home for a visit.

Landon was lots more excited to see Santa this time. Look at his happy face:) This was the coolest thing for him to see Santa at his home. We were sitting around the table eating dinner when Santa came walking through our front door ringing his bells.

Carson wasn't so excited this time to see Santa, but he sure loved that candy cane.

After Santa left this is him trying so hard to set his candy aside while he finished his dinner. Look at him eyeing that candy as he picks up his roll pouting cuz he can't have it. And he's trying so hard to mind when he sure doesn't want to.

Christmas morning this is what the boys woke up to. I feel bad I didn't even take pictures of the boys unwrapping gifts, we just video taped it all. First thing, Landon and Carson both took off into the tent and through the tunnel. It took Carson about fifteen minutes of play time before showing any interest in what was all wrapped up waiting for him. I love Christmas with kids. They make it so much fun. The look on their faces, the excitement and anticipation waiting for Christmas morning, gingerbread houses and snowmen, all the candy and singing, the whole season is wonderful watching the kids enjoy it.

Frosty the Snowman
No, Carson's not happy at all to be out in the cold, but Frosty is, and Landon is very proud of his Snowman.

Slumber Party

This last weekend Richards sister Denise brought Kayla and Tommy over so her and Thomas could celebrate their anniversary. Despite all the craziness of 4 kids under the age of 3 against me, we all had a little bit of fun.
Four little monkeys jumping on the bed. Here's Tommy Carson and Kayla
This playroom saved me this weekend. Kayla kept sneeking off to play all night long after bedtime:)
Quiet time. It looks so peaceful, but it really only lasted about two and a half minutes before they started jumping on the couch:)

What a tub full!

Preschool

Landon started his first year of preschool last month.
First day of school picture
The first few times he tried to play sick and always told me he would be mean to all of the kids. I would pick him up from class and he would break down in tears. I felt so bad and didn't know what to do to help him enjoy school. But one day I went and sat with him through all of show and tell before I handed him off to one the teachers, Mrs. Megan. I don't know what happened, and why he didn't throw a fit, but he stayed.
When I went to pick him up he was all smiles. They gave him the treat bucket to fill for the next class, and he couldn't wait to go back with treats for all his friends. When I dropped him off he went in there, he sat for circle time, looked at me and said, "You can go mom":) I am so proud of my big boy. since this day Landon has been so sweet. He feels more like a big boy and helps Carson out so much. I love the new version of my Landon:)

Hee Haws Farm

Back Tracking

It's almost embarrassing to post about Halloween in December, but here it goes:
For a day activity in our ward we went to Hee Haws Farm and we had so much fun.
Landon as a cow and Carson as a puppy
Well, most of us got our heads poked through Landon and Ryan are the ones on the left who's hair you can see. Then it's Ethan, Carson and Mindy.
The slide was by far the best part of Hee Haws! I felt like a little kid again climbing up those huge hay bails all the way to the top of the slide. It was huge!
Here's Ethan on the left coming down and then me holding Landon and Carson on my lap. Carson hated it the whole time, but it grew on Landon.
Carson just wouldn't stay in his costume for long, it was really warm that day.
Landon, my little cow boy on a tractor
Landon and Ethan finding their own way out of the corn maze.

Landon out in the pumpkin patch .Carson was way past due for a nap.

Finally, our family pictures.

So here are the long awaited family photos taken about a month ago.
Since our move we've all been very busy with painting, yard work, unpacking, school, work, jobsearching, and settling into our new home. There's still so much to do but I'm finished dolling up our home for a few days and I'm taking a little break. Here are some of the family pictures my sister inlaw took about a month ago.
